Pastors & Wives Conference in India
by Gerry Wilson, Lead Pastor at Arcadia Friends Church
Two years ago ‘Hope for People International’ invited Kay and I to make a five year commitment to build and administer a new long-term ministry among local Indian village pastors and wives in Mori, India in the State of Andrea Pradesh, located in the tropical south eastern coast of India. ‘Hope for People’ operates Riverside Christian Residential School and Subbamma Hospital and has a vision to expand the Kingdom’s outreach beyond the campus and into the local churches and community among the ‘untouchables’.
We were privileged in the summer of 2015 to lead our first Pastors & Wives Conference with 60 in attendance. This past summer of 2016, on our second trip, we had 100 pastors & wives and had to turn many away due to space limitations. In 2017, we are anticipating running two conferences back-to-back in order to accommodate all those that want to attend.
Our vision at Arcadia Friends Community Church is that the Lord has blessed us in order that we might be a blessing at home, across the nation and around the world! God has certainly opened a wide door for us to be blessed and to be a blessing among ‘untouchables’ in India for the coming years!
